Massage
that uses a lot of pressure is often thought to be Deep Tissue
Massage. Deep Tissue Massage contacts the deeper, sub-layer
of musculature and connective tissue, or fascia throughout the
body. It helps to soften stagnant, inflexible muscle tissue,
bringing blood and oxygen back into areas of chronic pain,
inflammation, or injury. This technique can be effective
without hurting. It is generally integrated with other
massage techniques. |

"When
I began training for the Long Trail end to end, I found
that I needed to go beyond the usual strengthening and
stretching. Nancy's deep tissue massage helped my
knees heal so that I not only completed, but enjoyed the
272 mile journey through Vermont. She is the only
therapist who listened and provided true healing therapy.
This year, with her help, I completed my first triathlon
at the age of 41. Thank you Nancy!"

"Nancy
knows instinctively where the stress points in my body are
and just what I need. Her combination of deep tissue
work, overall soothing touch, and sometimes stretching
always sends me away revived in body and spirit.”
